Summer

As summer begins to invade the plain, many seek the coolness of the woods around Fortunago, especially if combined with the spectacular panoramic views of the Oltrepò Pavese valleys, illuminated by the brilliant summer sun.
A light breeze moves the ocean of grain in the fields downstream and gives refreshment to those who enter the nature of the area, walking through poplar, beech and conifer woods. If you pay attention, fawns, foxes and rodents will peek out from the surrounding nature, while looking up it will be possible to see the noble birds of prey taking flight in the blue sky.

Once you reach the village, a well-deserved refreshment break will take you to taste the local specialties, including the typical dish par excellence of Fortunago, the "Malfatti", perhaps accompanied by an excellent glass of Oltrepò wine.

Fortunago, with the ruins of its castle, its medieval villas and its paths through the woods, creates a picturesque atmosphere that keeps alive the centuries of history of the village.
