Autumn

While the woods of the area are tinged with yellow, red and orange, Fortunago welcomes the colors of autumn that make its medieval atmosphere even more magical. The heat gradually begins to give way to lower temperatures, but walks along the paths are still appreciated by visitors, before the winter cold prevents them from being enjoyed.
For enthusiasts, mushrooms, chestnuts and even truffles can be found along the paths that lead to the village. Among the fallen leaves in the undergrowth, from time to time, it is possible to glimpse some foxes and other small animals.

The smell of roasted chestnuts pervades the streets of the village, while visitors discover its beauties: from the ruins of the medieval castle of which little remains now, up to the recent construction of the Municipal Auditorium which welcomes and preserves the artistic works of the area in its impressive rooms.
